In general the term costume is refereed to dress and wardrobe. In other words it can also be called typical style of dress of specific period, class or even people. Costumes or teatro dresses can also be referred to the artistic arrangement of accessories in a poem, statue or picture depending on the place, time and circumstances. It is also used to specify a character of a different era in a fancy dress or in a theatrical performance.
The most prominent place where one can see the teatro dresses regularly is in the films, theatre and in television. If the teatro dress is combined with the character in any play then it would exactly depict the character’s age, role, gender, profession, social class, their personality, and ethnicity and even give the information about the exact period era in the history. At the same time the teatro dresses would give the geographical location, the time of the day and the season time, its weather. Thus one can say that the teatro dresses or costumes play a vital role in any play in the theater.
